Day 1 Arrival at Bhubaneswar; Drive to Chilika for Sightseeing

Morning arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport / Railway Station and transfer to hotel. Later on, visit to Chilika Lake at Barkul, enjoy boating services, visit Kalijai Temple in the heart of the Lake. On way back visit Khandagiri & Udayagiri caves. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.

Day 2

Day 2 Drive to Biraja Temple, Jajpur

After breakfast, drive to Biraja Devi Temple “Nabhi Gaya (Navi Gaya)” at Jajpur on the bank of Holy River Baitarani. This temple is famous for Shaktism (Worship of extraterrestrial Power). Then back to Bhubaneswar for overnight stay.

Day 3 Drive to Puri

Visit of temples in Bhubaneswar (Lingaraj, Rajarani, Parashurameswar and Mukteswar) and then drive to Puri visiting enroute Dhauli, Heerapur and Sakshigopal Temples. Evening – visit Jagannath Temple and Gundicha Temple. Overnight stay at Puri.

Day 4 Drive to Bhubaneswar; End of Tour

The Jagannath Puri Temple is a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath, an incarnation of Lord Krishna. It is a major pilgrimage site and is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage destinations

The temple can be visited throughout the year, but the Rath Yatra, which usually occurs in June or July, is a highly popular time to witness the grand procession of the deities on chariots.

The main deities in the temple are Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Lord Balabhadra, and their sister Subhadra.

It is advisable to dress modestly when visiting the temple. Wearing revealing clothing may not be appropriate, and it's customary to cover the head before entering the sanctum sanctorum.

The Rath Yatra, or Chariot Festival, is an annual event where the deities are taken out in grand processions on elaborately decorated chariots. It usually takes place in June or July.

Photography may be restricted in certain areas, especially in the inner sanctum. It's advisable to check with the temple authorities regarding any specific guidelines.

In addition to the temple, Puri is known for its beautiful beaches, the Jagannath Rath Yatra, and the Konark Sun Temple, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Puri is well-connected by road and rail. The nearest airport is Bhubaneswar, and from there, one can hire a taxi or take a train to reach Puri.
